Rare Australia WW2 Pattern 1944 Machette Bayonet

Mk1 Machete Bayonet also known as the "Paratrooper" Bayonet. There are no makers mark apart from the faint SLAZ mark on the grips. There is also a 4 digit number on the pommel “ 3499”. Australian Issue Pattern 1907 Hooked Quillon Bayonet

British made by Wilkinson Issued date year 1909. Nice original wooden grips in very good condition. Working locking stud. The pommel marked to the NSW Government. This being a post WW1 reissue to the state Government. The blade with age stain. Comes with its leather scabbard made by Lithgow ( NSW) 1916.

Perfect condition example. 1944 dated , manufactured at Lithgow NSW (MA). Original wooden grips. These stamped “Australia”. This means that it was once sent to the US post war. All items of foreign manufacturing were to be stamped with the country of original prior to entry into the U.S. Working locking stud. Complete with its Mangrovite marked scabbard.  read more
