The seam running from the collar flap down to the shoulder under the left epaulette has come undone. This could be easily resewn together.

This early type 1 example identified by is black painted carved wooden grips. Sadly the locking stud and spring plate are missing. German makers mark and British inspection and acceptance stamping.
Some very light an d easily cleaned surface rust to the bowl guard exterior. This light and easily removed .
Rare with scabbard.
