Card backed Ballarat studio marked photo approximately 100x60mm. A good head and shoulders shot showing a senior NCO of the Ballarat Rangers c.1875 wearing uniform with sergeants rank Cheverons and a lovely cross belt with belt Ballarat Rangers and Rifle Corps plate and chained whistle. This pattern of belt plate can be found in Military Badges of the Colonies,page 158.
